A VHS video recorder mechanism. The video recording playback head is located on the silver rotating cylinder at the top of the picture, angled guides in the centre are used to M-wrap thread the tape around this drum. Erase head at the upper left and audio record playback and control heads at the right near the pinch roller further to the right.
